Per Diem Pharmacist – Infusion Specialty

nVital Care of Palmdale is a specialty infusion pharmacy serving patients throughout the Antelope Valley. We deliver home and outpatient infusion therapies, including antibiotics, biologics, IVIG, and nutrition support. Our care model is patient-centered, clinician-driven, and built on close collaboration with providers and nursing partners to ensure clinical excellence.
nPosition Overview
nWe are seeking a licensed Per Diem Pharmacist to provide clinical and dispensing coverage on an as-needed basis. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with infusion or specialty pharmacy experience who is looking for flexible scheduling while remaining actively engaged in direct patient care and clinical decision-making.
nKey Responsibilities
nVerify and process infusion and specialty medication orders in compliance with California Board of Pharmacy regulations
nPerform clinical review for therapy appropriateness, drug interactions, dosing, and patient-specific parameters
nCollaborate with nursing staff, prescribers, and insurance/prior authorization teams
nCompound and/or verify compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) in accordance with USP and standards
nProvide patient counseling and education related to infusion therapies
nMaintain accurate dispensing documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
nSupport ACHC accreditation standards and internal policies and procedures
nQualifications
nActive California Pharmacist license (RPh or PharmD) in good standing
nMinimum 1 year pharmacist experience required; infusion, home infusion, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
nFamiliarity with USP sterile compounding requirements
nStrong clinical judgment and communication skills
nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision
nCompensation & Schedule
n$75.00 – $80.00 per hour (DOE)
nPer diem, non-benefited contract role
nShifts offered on an as-needed basis, with advance scheduling when possible
nOn-site position in Palmdale, CA
