Job description
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacist eager to take on a travel role in Redding, CA, supporting a 250-bed hospital with a strong clinical focus. This contract role offers the possibility of temp-to-hire status for candidates seeking both stability and flexibility.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Variable days and afternoons, allowing for work-life balance
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians to optimize workflow and compliance
Consult with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmacologic guidance
Manage pharmacokinetics to tailor medication doses for individual patient needs
Utilize IT systems such as Cerner and Omnicell to support efficient pharmacy operations
Desired Qualifications and Experience: Active California pharmacist license
Willingness to travel and relocate to northern California
Positive, adaptable attitude with a collaborative approach
Completion of PGY1 residency preferred but not required
