Job description
Position Overview We are seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a well-established outpatient healthcare organization in the Montgomery, Alabama area. This position is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining medication inventory, and supporting the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
nKey Responsibilities
nnnOversee day-to-day pharmacy operations
n
nnEnsure compliance with all state, federal, and pharmacy board regulations
n
nnMaintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
n
nnMonitor medication inventory and controlled substance management
n
nnSupport quality, safety, and audit readiness initiatives
n
nnCollaborate with clinical and operational staff as needed
n
nnParticipate in recruiting interviews and provide operational input when appropriate
n
n nQualifications
nnnActive and unrestricted Alabama Pharmacist license
n
nnClean license history with no disciplinary actions
n
nnStrong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
n
nnPrevious Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge experience preferred, but not required
n
nnExcellent organizational and communication skills
n
