Job description
This opportunity is for a Night Pharmacist position at a well-established medical center serving a community with approximately 100 beds. The role is based in Cottonwood, AZ, and operates under a 7-on, 7-off night schedule from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, making it ideal for professionals seeking consistent overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct order verification to ensure accuracy and patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and oversight
Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to consult on medication therapies
Manage pharmacokinetics and monitor therapeutic drug levels
Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and medication management
Qualifications: Valid Arizona Pharmacist license is required
Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred, particularly in a similar clinical setting
Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication safety, and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare teams during the night shift
Location: Cottonwood, Arizona, serving the Verde Valley region
