Job description
A 13-week assignment is available for a traveling pharmacist at a 250-bed community hospital located in Northern Indiana. This contract position offers an opportunity to engage in a dynamic inpatient pharmacy environment supporting a collaborative healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
2nd shift hours: 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Potential for a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, depending on candidate preference and departmental needs
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient medication management
Contribute to overall inpatient pharmacy service excellence
Desired Qualifications: Current Indiana pharmacist license
Previous hospital pharmacy experience, preferably with inpatient exposure
Strong knowledge of hospital medication protocols and safety standards
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
