Job description
A well-established 250-bed community hospital in Northern Indiana is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a rewarding 13-week contract, with the possibility to extend. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting in Mishawaka, IN, providing essential pharmaceutical care to inpatients.
Schedule:
4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
2nd shift hours: 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Potential option for a 7-on/7-off schedule, based on operational needs
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
Conduct pharmacokinetic evaluations to guide dosing decisions
Manage inpatient pharmacy operations to maintain compliance and safety standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications: Active Pharmacist license, eligible for practice in Indiana
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially in inpatient settings
Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions
Familiarity with pharmacy software and electronic medical records
