Job description
A pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension. This role supports a 250-bed hospital in Marshfield, WI, delivering pharmaceutical care and ensuring medication safety within the facility.
Location: Marshfield, WI
Facility Size: 250 beds
Contract Duration: 13 weeks and possibly longer
Start Date: Immediate or soon thereafter
Schedule:
7 days on, 7 days off rotation
Alternating shifts between 2nd shift (12:00 PM to 10:00 PM) and 3rd shift (9:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Workweek typically begins on Wednesday
Responsibilities: Dispense medications accurately in a hospital setting
Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems for medication management
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient drug therapies
Monitor patient medication regimens and make adjustments as necessary
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications/Desired Experience: Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin or willingness to obtain an Act 10 temporary license
Experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
Proficient with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
