Job description
A 13-week+ night shift pharmacist opportunity is available at a 175-bed hospital in the Reno area. This contract assignment offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule with 10-hour shifts, designed for pharmacists who excel in a dynamic hospital setting and are ready to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities include:
Order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
Consulting and collaborating with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
Applying pharmacokinetics knowledge for individualized patient care
Utilizing IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis efficiently
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Nevada pharmacist license
Proven hospital pharmacy experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly beneficial
Demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced environment and critical decision-making
Schedule: Night shifts, 7 consecutive nights on followed by 7 nights off
10-hour shifts per night
