nJob Summary:
nWe are seeking an experienced Regional Pharmacist Trainer to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in developing, mentoring, and supporting pharmacists across multiple Long-Term Care pharmacy locations. The Regional Pharmacist Trainer will lead pharmacist onboarding, deliver ongoing education, standardize workflows, and collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality pharmacy operations. This role is ideal for an experienced LTC pharmacist who is passionate about education, leadership, and helping others succeed.
nLocation: Ohio (Regional coverage across multiple LTC pharmacies and client facilities)
nSchedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend training)
nTravel: Approximately 30–50% regional travel (Mileage reimbursement and travel expenses provided)
nResponsibilities:
nnnLead onboarding and orientation programs for newly hired pharmacists.
n
nnProvide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to pharmacists throughout the region.
n
nnDevelop and facilitate training sessions, educational materials, and competency assessments.
n
nnPartner with pharmacy leadership to identify training needs and implement development plans.
n
nnStandardize pharmacy workflows and best practices across multiple locations.
n
nnTrain pharmacists on FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and other pharmacy technology platforms.
n
nnSupport implementation of new pharmacy processes, technologies, and operational initiatives.
n
nnAssist with onboarding newly acquired facilities and ensure successful operational transitions.
n
nnPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, compliance, and patient-centered care.
n
nnMonitor pharmacist performance and identify opportunities for additional coaching or retraining.
n
nnMaintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
n
nnCollaborate with Compliance, Operations, and department leaders to ensure training aligns with company standards and regulatory expectations.
n
nnMeasure the effectiveness of training initiatives through onboarding success, workflow improvements, compliance metrics, and quality outcomes.
n
nnStay current on Long-Term Care pharmacy regulations, industry best practices, and company policies.
n
nnPerform additional duties as assigned.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnActive Ohio Pharmacist license required.
n
nnWillingness to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, and Indiana as business needs require.
n
nnMinimum of four (4) years of Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.
n
nnPrevious experience training, mentoring, precepting, or educating pharmacy staff preferred.
n
nnStrong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
n
nnExperience with FrameworkLTC, FrameworkECM, DocuTrack, and Microsoft Office applications.
n
nnExcellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
n
nnAbility to work independently while managing multiple training initiatives.
n
nnWillingness to travel approximately 40–60% throughout the assigned region.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnnBoard Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP).
n
nnCompletion of Long-Term Care-focused continuing education programs.
n
nnExperience developing pharmacy training programs, educational materials, and workflow standardization initiatives.
n
nnExperience supporting pharmacy operations during acquisitions, new facility onboarding, or organizational growth.
