Job description
Travel Pharmacist Opportunity
Assignment Details:
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Length: 7.5-hour shifts
Shifts: Rotating shifts, including:
3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
12:00 AM - 8:30 AM
Weekly Compensation:
Gross Weekly Pay: Up to $3,655
Taxable Pay: $1,044/week
Non-Taxable Stipends: $2,611/week (for eligible travelers)
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Pharmacist experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy
Active New York State Pharmacist License (NYSED) with Primary Source Verification
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems
Sterile compounding/sterile processing experience
IV room experience
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Responsibilities:
Accurately review, prepare, and dispense medications
Verify prescriptions and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Prepare and verify sterile IV medications as needed
Maintain accurate medication records using the facility's pharmacy and EMR systems
Provide medication counseling and clinical support when appropriate
Ensure patient safety through adherence to established pharmacy best practices
