About the Team
St. Joseph's Wayne Medical Center , a division of St. Joseph's University Medical Center and a member of St. Joseph's Health, is a 229-bed acute-care community hospital that provides comprehensive medical and surgical care, emergency and diagnostic services to the residents of Wayne and communities in northern New Jersey. St. Joseph's Wayne Medical Center is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth. More than 150,000 patients are treated each year at St. Joseph's Wayne Medical Center. Leading edge clinical services include orthopedics, spine, and sports medicine; cardiology/cardiothoracic services including a diagnostic cardiac catheterization laboratory performing peripheral angiograms and stenting, carotid stenting and pacemaker implants; non-invasive cardiology services including Holter monitoring, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography and trans-esophageal echocardiography; the Acute Rehabilitation Unit providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient services such as those of the North Jersey Swallowing Center; the John Victor Machuga Diabetes Education Center, offering comprehensive education and consultation programs; and expanded Ambulatory Care Center; as well as liver, biliary, and pancreatic consultation services.
