Job description
This opportunity seeks an experienced night shift pharmacist to support a well-established 200-bed community hospital in Florida. The position offers a 13-week contract assignment with an immediate start, providing a consistent 7 days on, 7 days off schedule during overnight hours (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient medication management
Consult and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Holds an active Florida pharmacist license
Demonstrated experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings
Comfortable and willing to work night shifts on a rotating schedule
Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
Location: West Palm Beach, Florida
Schedule/Hours: 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
Night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
