Job description
An experienced Pharmacist is needed for a night shift position at a 200-bed community hospital located on Cape Cod, approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work in a hospital setting with a supportive team.
Location: West Yarmouth, MA
Schedule:
Night shift
7 days on, 7 days off
9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
Perform pharmacokinetic assessments
Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies and patient care
Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for daily functions
Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
Previous hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently during overnight hours
