Job description
A pharmacy position is available for a skilled pharmacist with compounding experience, offering a contract-to-perm opportunity in Winston-Salem, NC. This role involves preparing both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions, collaborating with medical teams, and providing expert pharmaceutical care to optimize patient outcomes.
Schedule & Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
30-minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions adhering to USP 795, 797, and 800 standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to meet individual patient needs effectively
Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
Provide pharmaceutical advice and care to patients to support optimal health outcomes
Assist with training and supervising pharmacy technicians
Utilize PK pharmacy software (training provided) to ensure smooth prescription processing
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina
1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply
Familiarity with USP compounding standards (795, 797, and 800)
Experience or comfort with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing
This role is ideal for pharmacists passionate about compounding and wanting to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting. Compensation ranges from $55 to $62 per hour.
