Job description
A specialized opportunity is available for a pharmacist with pediatric experience to serve at a children's hospital. This contract position offers a night shift schedule with potential transition to day shift later in the assignment. Candidates with strong inpatient skills and proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis systems will find this role rewarding.

Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive pharmacy services during the night shift, from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Manage medication dispensing and patient counseling in an inpatient pediatric setting
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for accurate documentation and medication management
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective pharmacological care
Prepare for potential transition to day shift coverage starting July/August through mid-January
Qualifications: Active Texas pharmacist license required
Hands-on experience with pediatric pharmacy preferred
Proficient in EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Solid inpatient pharmacy experience with knowledge of pediatric medication protocols
Ability to work independently during night shifts
Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off schedule
Night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM initially
Transitioning to day shift coverage later in the year (July/August)
