Job description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a prominent 500-bed hospital in York, PA. This 13-week contract position offers an ASAP start with a variable schedule encompassing day and afternoon shifts, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians to optimize patient care, and applying pharmacokinetics principles. The role requires proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems to ensure efficient and accurate medication management. Experience with oncology and chemotherapy medications is essential to effectively support specialized treatments.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Several years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
Experience in oncology and chemotherapy medication preparation and management
Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians
Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals
