Pharmacy AideHutchings Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Pharmacy Aide to assist their licensed pharmacists in preparing pharmaceutical orders. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.As a pharmacy aide, your duties will include:Unpacking, sorting, and counting pharmaceutical supplies for storage/distributionMaintaining pharmacy recordsGenerating reportsPerforming light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environmentCandidates from outside or within State service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they have:High school diploma or equivalent; and either1 year of experience assisting with the filling of medical prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist; orCurrent pharmacy technician certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board; orCertificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.ORCandidates from outside or within State service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Pharmacy Aide eligible list.ORCandidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.All OMH employees receive a generous benefits package including:NYS medical, dental, & vision insuranceAccess to tuition assistance programsExcellent opportunities for advancement & professional growthPaid time off – 13 paid vacation days in the first year, 5 paid personal days, 13 paid holidays, & paid sick leaveNYS Retirement programsBackground checks will be required.NOTES:To be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program).
