Pharmacy Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Optum at Home (OAH) pharmacy program by assisting the Pharmacist with patient outreach, provider communication and care coordination activities. This position is responsible for making and documenting phone calls, sending faxes, and following up with providers, patients and pharmacies. Following up on recommendations made by the clinical pharmacist assists with the implementation of the recommendations, leading to improved patient outcomes.
