nThe Role:
nWillis Towers Watson is looking for an energetic individual with growth, pharmacy, clinical and client facing expertise to join our growing team. As a Pharmacy Consultant, Manager you will be at the forefront of managing pharmacy benefits projects for clients and leverage your experience as a pharmacy benefits expert to make recommendations on plan design and management. You will participate in new business activities and the creation of new intellectual capital. You will position yourself to grow into a senior relationship management and/or leadership role by serving as the subject matter expert on pharmacy projects and working alongside industry experts on cutting edge solutions. The ideal candidate is a patient-centric problem solver who possesses the ability to balance client clinical needs and business growth. You will collaborate with a strong team of highly experienced consultants within the practice as well as engage in cross-functional activities. A pharmacist is preferred but not required.

nResponsibilities:
nnnLead client Pharmacy engagements for a portfolio of Small to Medium clients and/or significantly contributes to large clients in support of:
n
nnPharmacy benefit plan analysis, design, clinical and cost savings strategies
n
nnPharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) vendor procurement, negotiation, and implementation
n
nnAudits of PBM performance (financial and operational)
n
nnStrategy for Specialty pharmacy products
n
nnSupport clients in navigating pharmacy concepts, strategies and results that effectively drive action and improve plan performance, by preparing teams for meetings or directly presenting in meetings
n
nnHas advanced experience across all Pharmacy activities and demonstrates knowledge of emerging trends and best practices
n
nnUnderstand client needs and preferences; anticipate questions in advance and identify solutions
n
nnInfluence key client decision makers by soliciting their perspectives and addressing their stated needs
n
nnLeverage advanced knowledge of industry trends, available products/solutions and carrier/vendor differentiators to inform and influence client Pharmacy strategies
n
nnDevelop and maintain ongoing relationships with employer and vendor primary contacts to build and enhance WTW and Health & Benefit’s brand
n
nnProvides leadership to more junior colleagues on pharmacy concepts, strategies and tools
n
nnConduct final quality reviews for all types of Pharmacy deliverables
n
nnBuild relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
n
nnActively support new business and prospecting activities
n
nnContribute to intellectual capital development
n
nnContribute pharmacy and other related perspectives to the broader health and benefits strategy and growth
n
n nQualifications
nThe Requirements:
nnn8+ years’ experience in clinical strategy, pharmacy benefit management, analytics, growth and consulting
n
nnDeep understanding of the pharmacy benefit management and US healthcare ecosystems, either at a PBM, health plan, health tech company or as a benefits consultant
n
nnPBM account executive experience strongly preferred
n
nnA dynamic, strategic thinker not afraid to challenge the status quo by asking the hard questions
n
nnAble to change ambiguity into clarity, action and outcomes in a high paced environment that requires the ability to multitask and prioritize.
n
nnPassionate about patient outcomes, client relationships and working with cross functional teams
n
nnEngaging speaking skills with an ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively; ability to speak credibly about clinical, technical, financial aspects of Willis Towers Watson’s offerings
n
nnExperience in training/mentoring junior staff
n
nnExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
n
nnAvailability to travel on an as needed basis
n
nnBachelor’s degree required, Master’s and/or PharmD degree preferred
n
nnFor pharmacists; actively licensed in home state and in good standing
n
nnState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
n

nCompensation and Benefits
nBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.
nCompensation
nThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $90,000-$140,000 USD per year.
nThis role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
