Must-Haves:
B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
3+ years of hospital pharmacy experience
2+ years of supervisory or pharmacy leadership experience
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
BLS certification
Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and compliance standards
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Plusses:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
5+ years of hospital pharmacy experience
ALS/ACLS certification (required if attending Code Blue events)
Previous experience leading large-scale pharmacy operations
Experience with formulary management and quality improvement initiatives
Day-to-Day:
Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance
Lead, mentor, develop, and evaluate pharmacy staff
Ensure safe and effective medication management practices
Drive operational excellence and quality improvement initiatives
Develop and manage departmental policies, programs, and formulary standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership teams
Support strategic planning, budgeting, and departmental performance goals
Monitor medication safety, clinical quality measures, and operational efficiency
Promote interdisciplinary partnerships to improve patient outcomes
Job Description:
