While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.As a pharmacy intern for our Long Term Care Pharmacy you will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. Omnicare Pharmacist provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers.You Will:Entry of ordersAdhere to required delivery schedulesComplete new and refill labels and ordersComplete drug packaging and labelingPreparation of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if requiredOffering Health Screenings and Immunizations when appropriateCustomer ServicePatient SafetyPharmacy Professional PracticeRegulatory RequirementsInventory ManagementOther duties as assigned (these vary by location)The Pharmacy Intern is an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacy interns demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow.Required Qualifications:Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state in which you are employedNot on the DEA Excluded Parties ListNo pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substancesPreferred Qualifications:Long Term Care pharmacy experienceEducation:Current enrollment in a US School of PharmacyPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$17.00 - $35.29Whether in our pharmacies or through our health service offerings, we are pioneering a bold new approach to total health care.
