Pharmacy InternChesapeake Regional Pharmacy Services, a certified Woman-owned and Minority-owned business by the Delaware office of supplier diversity. Our pharmacy was established in Wilmington, DE by pharmacists who share a passion for providing patient-centric and specialized care to patients requiring long term care.About the RoleAs a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and become an integral part of our long-term care pharmacy team. This role provides hands-on experience in various aspects of pharmacy operations, helping prepare you for a successful career as a licensed pharmacist. You will be joining a collaborative environment focused on patient safety, workflow efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory standards.What You'll DoAssist pharmacists in dispensing medications, including reviewing and preparing prescriptionsConduct data entry of prescription information into the pharmacy systemCommunicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details and resolve issuesSupport medication packaging, labeling, and delivery prep under pharmacist supervisionHelp maintain proper inventory levels and perform expiration date checksParticipate in medication reconciliation and chart reviews as assignedObserve and learn regulatory requirements specific to long-term care pharmacyProvide exceptional customer service to nursing staff, caregivers, and patients' familiesComplete projects and training modules designed to support your learning and professional growthAssist Pharmacist in Patient Chart ReviewsQualificationsCurrently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (P1–P4 year)Strong interest in long-term care or community pharmacy settingsExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skillsClear and professional communication, both written and verbalAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to accuracy and qualityProficiency with basic computer skills; familiarity with pharmacy software is a plusReliable, team-oriented, and eager to learnAvailable to work part-time hours during the academic year or full-time in the summer
