nAt Amazon Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Manager is a licensed Pharmacist who is responsible for the
noperation oversight and compliance of a small format pharmacy site, including; safety, quality,
ncustomer experience, budgetary, people development and operations objectives. The Pharmacy
nManager will lead a small team of technicians and pharmacists, coaching and mentoring the
nteam to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and
nbuilding leadership bench strength within the organization. This role will require hands-on
ninvolvement in the operation, handling tasks ranging from dispensing medications to managing
nthe entire process of prescription fulfillment, ensuring completion from initiation to the final
nstage. This includes, filling, verifying and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist
nverifications. The Pharmacy Manager will have a strong commitment to patient safety and with
nhigh standards of service to deliver on being the earth’s most customer-centric pharmacy.

nCore Responsibilities
n• Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of the
noperations.
n• Manage daily operations within the site, including meeting customer promise times for
nsame day deliveries, in partnership with co-located facilities and transportation.
n• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential
ninteractions, and route of administration. Make recommendations for therapy changes to
nthe prescriber as appropriate.
n• Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for employees. Measures
nperformance, provides feedback, and holds the team to a high bar.
n• Educate pharmacy staff on policies, reporting guidelines, and expectations as they relate
nto best quality practices
n• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives
nto enable their site to meet and exceed the operating plan.
n• Managing workflow, escalations and effectively delegating across your leadership team
nin partnership with the Sr Pharmacy Operations Manager.
n• Stay informed and adhere to local, state, and federal laws related to pharmacy practices,
nincluding changes or developments and their impact on Amazon Pharmacy and its
ncustomers
n• Align policies and initiatives with requirements and demands of accrediting/licensing
nbodies (BOP, NABP, URAC, DEA, FDA, USP)
n• Responsible for the site’s growth and partnering with capacity planning and facilities for
nall growth workforce management needs
n• Develops talent - Create, lead, engage with and direct a workforce to drive enhanced
nperformance through our people agenda. This will include all levels of the business -
nsafety of our people, employee engagement, performance leadership, training and
ndevelopment, as well as talent & succession planning.
n• Implements change and/or develop new processes as required to provide ability to
nbetter service customers, reduce cost to serve and improve contribution.
n• Maintain the customer’s profile through leveraging our PharmacyOS/Pharmacy Lite
ndatabase to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical
nand laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over the counter and home
nremedies).
n• This role acts as the site Pharmacist In Charge (PIC).
n• Other duties as assigned.
nBasic Qualifications
nnnBachelor's degree in Science, or Doctor of Pharmacy in PharmD, or Doctor of Pharmacy
n
nnCan Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in all states requiring Non-resident PIC
n
nnExperience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
n
nnWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
n
nnDoctorate or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
n
nnActive/Good Standing Pharmacist license in domicile state
n
nnExtensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
n
nnStrong in oral and written communication skills with the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize.
n
nnAble to manage detail, establish root cause and be able to extract and manipulate data
n
nnWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
n
nn1 year Staff Pharmacist experience within Amazon Pharmacy (if currently an Amazon employee)
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnn2+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
n
nnExperience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations
n
nnAbility to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situation Demonstrated ability to successfully develop others into higher levels of leadership in an organization
n
nnEntrepreneurial in mind, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial
n
nnAn analytical thinker with project management skills, attention to detail, an ability to influence others, and exceptional organizational skills.
n
nnInterest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.

nThe base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
