Pay Range: $52.00- $74.00
nSUMMARY
nThe Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy's operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, and managing financial and personnel functions to maintain optimal performance. They also provide patient care services, including counseling and training pharmacy associates, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and legal compliance.
nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
nnnRegisters with state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
n
nnOversees for maintaining the pharmacy in good standing with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
n
nnResponsible for the entire operation of the pharmacy department to achieve expected pharmacy service levels, financial goals including budget, payroll, third party administration, scheduling and inventory management to promote optimal financial viability.
n
nnResponsible for managing pharmacy support personnel functions within the pharmacy department, including job performance and review.
n
nnResponsible for guidance and training of pharmacy associates and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company police.
n
nnEnsures completion of company required training by all pharmacy associates.
n
nnParticipates in patient centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
n
nnCounsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
n
nnMaintains and participates in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
n
nnMaintains department facilities consistent with legal and company standards.
n
n nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
nnnLicensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice
n
nnImmunization Certification
n
nnMust have a Valid Driver’s License.
n
nnMust be 21 years of age.
n
nnMust submit to DL Monitoring.
n
n nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
nnn5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
n
nnProficiency with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems
n
nnAbility to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic.
n
nnStrong leadership skills and ability to manage others.
n
nnAbility to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
n
nnProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
n
