Job description
A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced infusion pharmacy professional to manage home infusion pharmacy operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe delivery of intravenous therapies in a home setting while overseeing a dedicated pharmacy team.
Responsibilities:
Direct daily pharmacy operations including sterile compounding, IV admixtures, dispensing, and inventory control
Lead, train, and evaluate pharmacists and technicians; manage recruitment and on-call scheduling
Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations and USP standards
Provide clinical oversight, collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Participate in budgeting, workflow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Georgia
5-7 years of clinical and operational experience in home infusion or acute care pharmacy practice
Proven leadership skills with a strong focus on training and staff development
Knowledge of IV admixture services, regulatory accreditation, and pharmacy compliance standards
Familiarity with CPR+ and CareTend systems is highly preferred
Ability to handle administrative on-call responsibilities; routine pharmacist on-call duties rotate among staff
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with schedule flexibility required for administrative on-call
Location: Decatur, Georgia
