Job description
This position offers an opportunity to serve as a Pharmacy Manager in a well-established pharmacy setting located in Ogdensburg, NY. This role supports either interim or permanent placement and requires a candidate committed to upholding both regulatory standards and operational excellence. The Pharmacy Manager will oversee the pharmacy's day-to-day functions, promote community health initiatives, and lead a team focused on quality patient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm, with Sundays off.
Key Responsibilities:
Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
Manage pharmacy operations, including budget, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory to meet financial targets.
Engage in business development activities both in-store and within the community.
Lead pharmacy support personnel, conduct job performance reviews, and provide training and accountability.
Ensure all pharmacy associates complete mandatory training.
Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
Counsel patients and healthcare providers on drug therapies, interactions, and side effects while monitoring therapy efficacy.
Maintain continuous quality improvement programs focused on patient safety.
Maintain an organized and compliant pharmacy work environment.
Complete required continuing education programs and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Licensed to practice pharmacy in New York State.
Immunization Certification with proficiency in administering all vaccines (required).
Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
