nPlans, directs and supervises team members in the day to day operations of the Pharmacy. Duties include, but are not limited to: technician hiring, filling prescriptions accurately, staff training, financial management, inventory control, scheduling, providing great friendly service, team building, clinical services, patient safety, and pharmacy adherence to all corporate policies, federal and state legal policies.
nWhat You'll be Doing:
nnnResponsible for staffing selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
n
nnPrepares and conducts performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
n
nnDocuments and applies disciplinary actions.
n
nnFills prescriptions safely and accurately.
n
nnImplements and executes pharmacy programs, including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services, and profitability of the pharmacy.
n
nnEducates and mentors pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
n
nnMotivates team members to perform to their highest level.
n
nnHolds team members accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and has a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
n
nnStrong leadership and development capabilities.
n
nnCompetent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
n
nnPerforms and oversees (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.
n
nnEffective communication skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
n

n nWhat You Bring With You (Qualifications):
nnnBachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
n
nnRegistered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
n
nnCertified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
n
nnCPR Certification.
n
nn3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
n
nnOne year management experience (preferred).
n
nnWorking knowledge of pharmacy system, working knowledge of policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates in.
n
nnSuccessful completion of all required certifications.
