Pharmacy Specialty Pharmacist

Client experience
Description: Must have IV Certification for Texas. The unit consists of approximately 30 staff members. On day shift, there are 4 decentralized pharmacists, 2-3 clinical specialists, and 1-2 central pharmacists. Additional staff comes in throughout the day. The night shift has 1 overnight pharmacist and 1 overnight technician. Patient ratios are not applicable. The equipment includes Pyxis, DoseEdge, and C2 Safe. Electronic medical records are handled using Meditech and Vigilanz. Typical procedures performed in the unit include order verification, processing missing medication requests, and sterile compounding. The ideal candidate will be willing and a strong communicator. Residency training and board certification are preferred. The position requires pharmacists to work every other weekend. The schedule is 7 on and 7 off, starting on Wednesday nights from 21:00 to 08:00.
