At PharmCo Rx, our Pharmacy Technicians are the backbone of our daily operations. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a key role in dispensing medications accurately, supporting patients with professionalism, and keeping the pharmacy running smoothly. RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, count, label, and dispense prescription medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
Process third-party insurance claims and collect patient co-payments
Maintain accurate patient profiles, prescription records, and inventory logs
Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and insurers
Support front-end operations including greeting customers, answering phones, and assisting with OTC product location
Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and fully stocked
Comply with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and HIPAA guidelines
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in pharmacy management software
Solid organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated and punctual
Team player with professional telephone etiquette
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Creole speaking candidates HIGHLY PREFERRED
Spanish speaking candidates HIGHLY PREFERRED
Active Pharmacy Technician License from the Board of Pharmacy in the state of employment
Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medical terminology
Ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Proficiency in computer skills and pharmacy software systems
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
