Job description
PhlebotomistSaint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Lab Hartford CT You would be responsible to obtain blood specimens, to process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.What will you do:Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methodsLabels all specimens following laboratory policyReceives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimensWork Hours/Shift:24hrs, Evening Shift, 2-10:30 pm, e/o wknd, rotating holidaysRequirements :High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of Phlebotomy Training ProgramAt least one year of phlebotomy experienceNational Certification preferredPosition Hours:24 hours, rotating holidays, every other weekend, occasionally will have to work in processing, Mt Sinai Hospital and Cancer Center.At Trinity Health Of New England, we understand that the success of our organization is directly related to our hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated colleagues who contribute their time and skills to help transform healthcare.
