PhlebotomistWe're Hiring - Phlebotomist - ATTACH RESUME Ready to thrive in a dynamic, high energy environment? Join our Specimen Processing Lab Department and bring your exceptional talents to a team that makes a real impact—every single day. If you love helping patients, staying organized, and being part of a fast paced, supportive team… we want to meet you! You would be responsible to obtain blood specimens for inpatients and the Emergency Department, two evenings per week and servicing Hartford area nursing homes, three evenings per week. To process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation and driving record in good standing.What will you do:Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methodsLabels all specimens following laboratory policyReceives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimensWork Hours/Shift:40 hrs., 3 pm - 11:30 pm, Mon/Wed/Fri will service area nursing homes and Tues/Thurs will cover inpatient/ED, every other weekend/holiday rotation - On-Call HoursRequirements:High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of Phlebotomy Training ProgramOne year of phlebotomy experienceNational Certification preferredDependable transportation required and good driving recordPosition Highlights and Benefits:Great benefits and Health Insurance Coverage—starting Day One!Generous Shift DiffsAward-winning Hospitals and DepartmentsMinistry/Facility Information:Saint Francis Hospital has been an anchor institution in Connecticut since 1897.
