Night Shift, PRN, Phlebotomist in Claremore, OKJoin our team as a night shift, PRN, Phlebotomist in Claremore, OK.Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare BetterThrive: We empower our team with career growth opportunities and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being.People-First: We prioritize your well-being with a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for.Make Healthcare Better: We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care.Get to Know Your Team:Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity and women's services, ICU and cardiology services in the advanced cardiac catheterization lab.Explore Career Pathways for Laboratory Professionals:Functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include; venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instruction and specimen culture collection instructionPromotes professionalism and interacts with colleagues in a way that promotes a cooperative working environment.Ensure specimens are obtained in accordance with laboratory guidelines.Demonstrate proper communication skills to relate pertinent data or information about the patient or laboratory sample to appropriate care provider.Supports organizational priorities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.Attains required competency and demonstrates the ability to follow procedural directions and protocols.Able to prioritize and organize workload and assist other coworkers to maintain productivity.Follows proper protocols for specimen packaging and specimen transport.Responsible for specimen accessioning as assigned.Demonstrates proper infection control practices, proper patient identification, performs proper prompt specimen transport.Performs proper drug screen collection and processing as assigned.Answers laboratory department phone calls.Demonstrates ability to recognize emergent conditions and reacts appropriately.Provides phlebotomy services in a professional and patient centered manner.Engages in self-evaluation of practice and takes action to improve knowledge and skills.Retains accountability for quality of care given to the patient.Job Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentPreferred Job Requirements:Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experienceCertification from nationally recognized agency. Accepted agencies and certifications include, but are not limited to:National Heathcareer Association – Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (NHA)American Society for Clinical Pathology – Phlebotomy Technician: PBT (ASCP)American Medical Technologists – Registered Phlebotomy Technician: RPT (AMT)National Center for Competency Testing – National Certified Phlebotomy Technician: NCPT (NCCT)American Certification Agency – Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (ACA)Experience working in the clinical setting
