PhlebotomistPOSITION: Phlebotomist DEPARTMENT: Laboratory HOURS: 48 hours per pay period/ Non-Exempt SHIFTS: Day/Evening shift including rotating overnight weekend & holidaysDay Shift: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.Evening Shift: 1:00 - 9:00 p.m.Night Shift: Every 4th weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.Rotating holidays required. UNION: Yes UNION NAME: Local 113WAGE RANGE: $20.07 - $30.35GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine blood collections, perform EKG's, process specimens, become DOT and Non-DOT collections certified and serve as the Laboratory Information System Operator. Assist with any additional clerical work as needed and help maintain the overall safety and cleanliness of the laboratory.EDUCATION/TRAINING: Graduate of a certified phlebotomy program or medical program, a graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program, or an individual with either a high school diploma or equivalent with documentation of previous phlebotomy training and experience preferred.SKILL(S): Must have good communication skills with a pleasant personality and attitude. Will need to be capable and comfortable working directly with patients and/or their families.
