Phlebotomist II - FloatLocation: Ocala, FLOnsite Flexibility: OnsitePosition Type: ContractContract Duration: 3 monthsPay Rate: $22.79–$24.41 / Hour (USD)Shift / Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 or 10 hour shift between 5 AM – 5 PM; every other SaturdayTravel Requirements: Travel between multiple sites required; floaters are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day; mileage between sites is eligible for expense reimbursementWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job SummaryThe Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on timeMaintain a safe and professional environmentPerform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and proceduresPerform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correctMaintain required records and documentationDemonstrate organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in generalRequired SkillsAbility to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently with minimal on-site supervisionExcellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatricFlexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtimeCommitted to all Policies & Procedures including Company dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding PrinciplesMust be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgmentMust have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicableTravel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal noticeCapable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume settingMust demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our businessKeyboard/data entry experienceEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent — REQUIREDMedical training: medical assistant or paramedic training — preferredPhlebotomy certification — preferred; required in California, Nevada, and WashingtonPhlebotomy Certification strongly preferred but not required in the state of FLRequired Experience1–3 years phlebotomy experience REQUIRED, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collectionsWork Environment / Physical RequirementsFloaters travel between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that dayMust have a clean driving recordFloaters are able to submit mileage for expense reimbursement between sites (not from home)Candidate must have their own reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue (being dropped off by bus, Uber, or rideshare is not reliable transportation)Must be available to work whenever scheduled, be on time, and stay for the entire shiftOvertime availability requiredTraining locations may vary based on trainer availabilityImportant NotesExcessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for terminationAbout the ClientThis organization is the world's leading provider of diagnostic information services, serving one in three adult Americans every year and supporting half of the physicians and hospitals across the United States, with laboratory operations extending internationally — delivering the diagnostic insights that drive clinical decisions, guide treatments, and ultimately save lives.
