Job OverviewPay Range: $26.16hr - $26.34hrRequirement/Must HaveHigh school diploma or equivalent.Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.Five years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.Keyboard and data entry experience.ResponsibilitiesDraw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.Provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.Ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.Direct daily activity in various environments including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, house calls, or long-term care facilities as business needs dictate.Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees and provide onboarding services to new clients.Serve as a point of contact to staff on-site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.Work with customers who have high complexity or volume practices requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills.Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.Collaborate with multiple functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics.Nice to HaveMedical assistant or paramedic training.Phlebotomy certification.Experience in a PSC/IOP environment.Customer service experience in retail or service environments.SkillsPhlebotomy.Pediatric collections.Geriatric collections.Capillary collections.Data entry.Keyboarding.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Problem solving.Collaboration.Mentoring.Process excellence.Qualification And EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Five years of phlebotomy experience.
