Job Opportunity At Allegheny Health Network$1,500 sign on bonus availableGeneral Overview:Performs phlebotomy using standard techniques for venipunctures, heel sticks and finger sticks. Provide instruction and/or assistance with the collection of non-blood specimens.Essential Responsibilities:Collects and processes patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures and within expected timeframes both on and off site as required.Maintains the cleanliness of the work area and adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.Performs laboratory support duties (e.g., order entry, registration, specimen receiving, etc.) to ensure efficient operations.May mentor students in phlebotomy utilizing AHN policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:Minimum:High school diploma or GED.Phlebotomy training.Preferred:Six months' phlebotomy experience.Valid driver's license may be required depending on work location.Additional Employment Requirements:Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.Compliance Requirement: This job adheres to the ethical and legal standards and behavioral expectations as set forth in the code of business conduct and company policies.As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
