Virtua Health Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Lourdes Health System - 1600 Haddon AveRemote Type: On-SiteEmployment Type: EmployeeEmployment Classification: RegularTime Type: Full timeWork Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America)Total Weekly Hours: 37.5Work Schedule: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri - 5:00am to 1:30pm. Off on Thursday. Every other weekend (Sat & Sun) - 5:00am to 1:30pm. One summer and one winter holiday.Job SummaryAdhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.Position ResponsibilitiesPatient identification, phlebotomy, specimen labelingSpecimen verification, processing, shipment and front loading on instruments for testingPerforms pre-analytical processes including registration, and orderingProvides outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.Performs clerical functions including but not limited to telephone communication, report generation and faxingRequired ExperiencePrevious customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.Required EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Training / Certification / LicensureFormal phlebotomy training required. ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.Hourly Rate: $18.89 - $27.81 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
