Virtua Health Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Mount Holly - 175 Madison AvenueRemote Type: On-SiteEmployment Type: EmployeeEmployment Classification: RegularTime Type: Full timeWork Shift: 2nd Shift (United States of America)Total Weekly Hours: 35Job Summary: Adhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.Position Responsibilities:Patient identification, phlebotomy, specimen labelingSpecimen verification, processing, shipment and front loading on instruments for testingPerforms pre-analytical processes including registration, and orderingProvides outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.Performs clerical functions including but not limited to telephone communication, report generation and faxingRequired Experience: Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Training / Certification / Licensure: Formal phlebotomy training required.
