Phlebotomist – Join Our Fast-Paced Lab Team!Location: Kalamazoo-400 John St. - Lab BuildingDepartment: Laboratory Services Employer: Bronson Healthcare GroupAbout the Role:We're looking for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team! You'll play a key role in collecting quality specimens, supporting critical testing, and ensuring exceptional patient care.What You'll Do:Perform venipuncture and capillary collections accurately and efficientlyPrioritize STAT orders and respond quickly to urgent needsVerify test orders and ensure specimens meet all labeling requirementsConduct EKGs and specialized procedures (e.g., sweat chloride, bleeding time)Communicate effectively with team members and support onboardingStep in as an accession technician when qualifiedWhat You Bring:High school diploma or GED (required)National Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)Experience with Mysis Laboratory Information SystemStrong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of basic biology, chemistry, and mathAbility to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPhysical Demands:Frequent standing and walkingLight lifting (up to 20 lbs)Comfortable with computer use (~40% of the time)Able to meet deadlines under occasional mental/visual fatigueWhy Bronson?
