PhlebotomistHot JobGordon Memorial Hospital - Gordon, NE 69343DescriptionPosition Summary: Responsible for collection, processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrates behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment and provides excellent customer service in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Gordon Memorial Health Services.QualificationsEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentKnowledge of medical terminology preferredOne to three months related experience and/or training preferredCertificates, Licensure, Registrations:Phlebotomy certification preferredGeneral Requirements:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divideAbility to generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy / proceduresAbility to write reports and correspondenceAbility to effectively communicateAbility to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationshipsAbility to work with skill in identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method of performanceSecurity/Access:Will have access to facility 24 hours a dayWill have access to confidential information abiding by the organization's privacy policies and regulations concerning this informationEquipment, Tools, Materials:Laboratory equipmentComputer, printer, fax, etc.Timekeeping systemInformation systemsTelephone systemGeneral office materials/suppliesPatient Age Groups Served:Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric
