Phlebotomist I – 1st ShiftLocation: White Oak, PA 15131 Job Type: Contract 06 Months Contract End Date: April 1, 2027Schedule: Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM–1:30 PM | Every other Saturday: 7:00 AM–12:30 PM | 35 hours/weekJob SummaryThe Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I is responsible for providing a positive patient experience while safely and accurately collecting blood and other clinical specimens. The role involves patient interaction, specimen processing, documentation, and data entry while following established procedures and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures safely and accurately.Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.Provide professional and compassionate patient service.Perform blood collections for pediatric and geriatric patients.Properly label, handle, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.Maintain accurate records and required documentation.Perform data entry and maintain patient information accurately.Follow safety, confidentiality, and quality-control procedures.Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.Complete daily assignments accurately and on time.Work independently with minimal supervision.Promote a positive image of the organization with patients, clients, and staff.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience.1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.Strong venipuncture/phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.Keyboard and data-entry experience required.Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and customer-service skills.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call shifts based on staffing needs.
