Job description
Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist at Draper / Salt Lake City, UT! This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Phlebotomist I
Location: Draper, UT 84020 or Salt Lake City, UT 84124
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $17-19/hour (Based on years of experience & education)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and efficient venipuncture and blood specimen collection .
Draw blood from patients across a variety of age groups, including geriatric patients.
Perform approximately 25 patient draws per day while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate customer service.
Register patients upon arrival and verify patient information.
Properly identify and label specimens according to established procedures.
Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
Maintain specimen integrity throughout collection and processing.
Maintain accurate patient and specimen documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and laboratory staff.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience - REQUIRED
Experience with:
Pediatric collections
Geriatric collections
Capillary collections
Note: Local candidates within 25-30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
