Phlebotomist I - Laboratory MedicineHealth First Careers is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Phlebotomist I to join our Laboratory Medicine team on a per diem basis. As a Phlebotomist I, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare system by collecting and processing blood samples for diagnostic testing. This position is located in Palm Bay, Florida in beautiful Brevard County.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all agesProperly label and process blood samples for testingMaintain accurate records and documentation of all specimens collectedFollow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environmentCommunicate effectively with patients and healthcare team membersAssist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as neededAdhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentialityQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited phlebotomy programMinimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical settingCurrent certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalentExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskKnowledge of laboratory procedures and equipmentFamiliarity with medical terminology and basic computer skillsAdditional Parameters:Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferredMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeJoin our team at Health First Careers and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
