Job description
Phlebotomy Position
Pay Range: $19.85hr - $21.26hr
Requirement/Must Have:
Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
Minimum of 6 months experience required.
Keyboard and data entry experience is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities:
Represent the face of the organization to patients for health routines and health decisions.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices.
Explain procedures to patients and draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Promote a positive image to patients, employees, and the public.
Nice to Have:
One+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
