Phlebotomist II
Location: Roswell, GA 30076 Contract: 6+ Months End Date: March 26, 2027 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM–5:15 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) provides professional and compassionate patient service while performing blood collection and specimen processing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections safely and accurately.
Collect, process, label, and prepare clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
Verify patient demographics, initials, signatures, and specimen labeling after collection.
Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
Provide clear explanations of procedures and create a comfortable, professional patient experience.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Support Patient Service Centers, physician offices, and other locations based on business needs.
Demonstrate strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and professionalism.
Travel between locations and provide coverage with minimal notice as needed.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Strong venipuncture and specimen-handling skills.
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if applicable.
Flexibility to support staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
Phlebotomy certification.
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
2 years of Patient Service Center experience.
Retail or service-based customer service experience.
