Phlebotomist IAt Duly Health and Care, you are supported to do your best work and make a meaningful impact every day. Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.Position Highlights:Full-Time, 40 hours/weekHours: Monday-Friday; Must be willing to work variable 8 hour shifts in between the hours of 7:00am-6pm. Every Other Saturday Required- 7:00am-1:00pm.Location: Joliet Travel Required.Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.Employer provided life and disability insurance.$5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.Immediate 401(k) match.40 hours paid volunteer time off.A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Director, Manager or Supervisor, the Phlebotomist I performs Laboratory procedures in Phlebotomy and other Specimen Collections, Specimen Processing and/or any other General duties, as necessary, under the direction of a licensed laboratory supervisor. The Phlebotomist I presents a professional, courteous and respectful demeanor when engaging with patients, co-workers, other staff and general public.Depending on Practice Site Requirements, not all duties listed may be performed. However, it is expected MOST duties will be performed. Travel to other sites may be required.Perform phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients by vascular access (venipuncture) or capillary collection (finger stick) using aseptic protocols, accurate patient identification and proper labeling procedures.Monitor phone and voice mail messages, as necessaryMonitor collection supply inventory and order supplies as necessaryReceive patients professionally and courteously utilizing AIDET and positive patient experience toolsPerform specimen centrifugation, processing, prepping for reference lab transportation, storage and retrievalUtilize computer skills to accurately access patient/testing information, as necessaryProduce patient demographic sheet and prepare additional paperwork to accompany specimens, as necessaryMaintain a clean patient and working environment.Perform other assigned duties, as needed.Education:High School graduate or equivalent requiredNational Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferredPrior experience as a Phlebotomist OR an equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school coupled with work experience in a healthcare field preferred.Moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $ , with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.Artificial Intelligence DisclosureArtificial Intelligence (AI) tools may be used in some portions of the candidate review process for this position, however, all employment decisions will be made by a person.
