Job Description Job Description Responsibilities:
Perform and assist with laboratory procedures and specimen collection.
Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens according to established protocols.
Perform blood draws and other laboratory-related duties within the scope of training and certification.
Properly handle, store, and transport specimens.
Administer vaccinations according to established protocols and within applicable requirements.
Maintain accurate laboratory and vaccination records.
Prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
Monitor laboratory inventory and perform regular inventory counts .
Order and restock laboratory supplies as needed.
Check expiration dates and properly dispose of expired or unusable supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory area.
Follow OSHA, infection-control, HIPAA, and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Assist with other clinical and laboratory duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous laboratory or medical office experience preferred.
Phlebotomy experience required.
Experience administering vaccines preferred.
Previous experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) is required.
Knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and processing.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy medical office environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Must be available to start as soon as possible .
