Phlebotomist OpportunityPride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Mount Kisco, NY 10549. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Specific Duties:Phlebotomists draw blood from pediatrics through geriatric patient population.Phlebotomists process all lab specimens including verifying patient identifiers, barcoding, centrifuging, pouring off, accessioning, creating packing lists and packaging specimens to reference lab at correct temperatures.Phlebotomists follow all Phlebotomy SOP and OSHA Safety/PPE guidelines.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of preferred experiencePhlebotomy experienceExperience with blood drawing for all age groups, knowledge of Epic.High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required or non-U.S. High School diploma deemed equivalent after evaluation of the diploma by either Center for Educational Documentation (CED) or North American Education Group (NAEG) (or equivalent education, training or experience)Skills/Attributes That Will Set a Candidate Apart:Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skillsKnowledge of medical terminology requiredThe ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is requiredGood communication and customer service skills requiredAt least one year of experience as a Medical AssistantAdditional Information:Location: Mount Kisco, NY 10549Job Type: 3+ months contract to hireSchedule: M-F 8:30 am - 5 pm, rotational Saturdays 8:00 am - 1:00pmPay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2PrideGlobal and its affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
