We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high-quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communities.Job SummaryThe Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe and accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices. Demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on exceptional patient experience and quality service and outcomes. The Phlebotomist is required to comply with all OSHA and regulatory requirements including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).QualificationsHigh School graduate or equivalent.Or, other experience and training that will support minimum on-the-job training to perform the above duties.Keyboarding/data entry experience.Knowledge of venipuncture techniques.Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems.Continuous improvement mindset.Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients.Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills.We take great care of careers.With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
