We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Lafayette Regional Health Center which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Laboratory Assistant receives and processes specimens and carries out basic laboratory procedures. Additionally, there are required clerical tasks such as greeting patients, informing them of the procedures, answering phones and emails, and maintaining records. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that are committed to delivering the best patient care.What you will do in this role:Accurately identify and label.Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.Process all necessary paperwork for submitted specimens.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.What qualifications you will need:Phlebotomy certification by ASCP and/or NCA highly desiredSix months phlebotomy experience preferred; phlebotomy experience in hospital laboratory.PRN weekend night shift, must have availability for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights between 6pm and 6am, shared holidaysBenefitsLafayette Regional Health Center offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career, and retirement of our colleagues.
